Land

Cost-effective solutions for your land-based projects

Our land services include:

Civil Engineering: We provide a wide range of civil engineering services for the design, construction and maintenance of buildings, roads and bridges. Our clients run the gamut too, from individuals to municipalities, and private companies to public.

Surveying: Our survey and staking services reflect the ultimate in precision, which translates into a highly efficient handoff to the design and construction teams. We use total station and GPS, along with other leading technologies, to gather the most accurate information.

Development: We team up with architects, developers and individuals to provide engineering services for the design, construction and renovation of projects. From foundations and drainage, to environmental issues and utilities, we work to ensure developments are safe and sound, with all permits in place. Our vast experience with governmental agencies assists in streamlining the process. We speak their language, and use that knowledge to reduce entitlement time and costs.

Structural Engineering: Our structural services include analyzing, researching, planning and designing for towers, buildings and bridges.

3D Design/Modeling: Not every engineering firm utilizes 3D Design/Modeling. Why do we? Cost, efficiency and speed. We can create 3D models, download the information into vehicles with GPS, and automate the survey and grading process. This can save as much as 20 to 30 percent in costs.

GIS Geographic Information System: Our GIS services enable more accurate geographic information, better decision making and more cost-effective mapping. The efficiencies save you time and money.

Energy

Helping companies to achieve greater power

The energy industry represents a massive frontier with layers of complexity. Production, transmission, infrastructure and environmental issues crop up at every turn. Our vast experience in this realm includes decades of charting desolate locations and solving demanding situations.

Typically, we work for utility developers and utility companies. Our services include:

Alternate Energy: For years, we've been deeply involved in the green energy field. We specialize in wind and solar farms, from pre-development, environmental issues, design and surveying, to construction and bringing turbines and solar panels online.

Substations: We provide civil engineering services for a variety of substation requirements. Our services typically include site planning, grading and access design, structural design, and construction staking.

Transmission Lines: JES provides all land-related civil engineering work associated with transmission lines. Among the services are route planning, legal descriptions, land surveying and grading.

Water

Water Ways: Traveling over, flow, distribution and quality

Often regarded the world's most precious resource, water can also be one of the most challenging to maintain, move, manage — or travel over.

Our services in this category include:

Bridges: We provide services to analyze force, stress, and environmental factors for bridges. We provide engineered solutions for vehicular and trail bridges.

Hydrology: Our teams use extensive years of data, field verifications of watershed, and various analysis techniques to calculate storm water flow to bridges.

SWPPP Storm Water Pollution and Prevention Program:To enhance the quality of storm water runoff from our projects, we develop SWPPPs, file them with the state, and then provide measuring and monitoring services for water runoff. We’re a Qualified SWPPP Developer and a Qualified SWPPP Practitioner.

Government

Governing precision: Engineering for city, county and state agencies

JES Engineering has more than 30 years of experience working with a wide range of government agencies. We provide services for city, county and state engineering projects that include water systems, streets, drainage, electrical, sewage and more. If it involves the ground, we've got it covered.

We also provide contract employees; in-house professionals to work within your offices for the duration of projects.

City savvy

JES Engineering brings an unusual level of expertise to municipalities. Owner/Principal Glen Lewis worked for nearly 20 years as a City Engineer/ Public Works Director. This level of in-depth experience creates a fluency few engineering companies can match. Working with multiple agencies and complex regulations is second-nature, which saves time, money — and headaches.
